| Well, I haven't posted in a long time, but that's because not a whole lot has been going on. I did just go to Chicago this past weekend to check out grad schools, so that was really fun. Hopefully I will get accepted to a few so I can have some options. My job is going really well. It's not very exciting, but I do get paid to sit around and hang out with old ladies, so I can't complain. I'm trying to enjoy it now while we only have 3 patients. Once we are full things will be a lot crazier! Yesterday I locked my keys in my car (again) and I had to stand in the freezing cold until the AAA guy came. I think maybe I should start carrying a spare key in my purse. Last year I ran out of times they would come open my car! Haha | | |
| Well I decided I am going to Homecoming! I didn't think I was going to, because I'll be driving so much over the weekend, but oh well, it better be worth it Keli! Actually, I'm really excited to see everyone again. Things are going pretty good at my new job. We had a slight problem with the licensure people canceling last minute, so we're just sitting around now waiting for them to reschedule. It's a bit frustrating, but I'm getting paid to watch training videos and hang out, so I can't complain! There is a really creepy guy that works in the kitchen at the hotel, and every night I work he always makes me food to take home. It's kind of weird...but I love to eat so much that I always end up taking it!! Tonight he gave me filet mignon and jumbo prawns....a better spread than the cereal at my apartment that's for sure! Can you blame me?! | | |
| The other day we had a guest at the hotel who's last name was Butcavage! Someone called for him and I started laughing because I thought it was a joke, but nope it was right there in the computer too! He came down to check out and we have to say the guest's name 3 times during checkout/in, so I kept having to say....How was your stay Mr. Butcavage? Do you need a ride to the airport Mr. Butcavage? I couldn't keep a straight face though, it was too funny. And a few nights ago a lady jumped out of a second floor window and broke her back! Working at a hotel can be very interesting sometimes :) | | |
| Well I am in St. Louis now for Labor Day. I just got back from a day-trip to Springfield where I saw my fav friends Keli and Vanessa!! Love them. And I also got to hang out with my hilarious brother, Zac, until his RA came and kicked us out. Don't miss the dorms that's for sure! He is in his last semester at EU, so that is exciting. It was fun to see Evangel again and all the new buildings and people. It made me miss school! Only 1 more year until I start up again! Yay :) Tomorrow is my Dad's surprise 50th birthday party. My Mom has done a good job of keeping it a secret so far. It should be lots of fun. Then on Monday I'm heading up to Elgin to hang out with my friends and then back to GR on Tuesday. I start my new job in a week so I am really ready to get started. Fun fun!! | | |
| Well I got the job at Pine Rest! So I am very happy. I start on Sep. 12, so I gave my 2 weeks at the Crowne yesterday. That was really hard to do because I've worked there over 2 years now. But oh well, on to bigger and better things! I am thinking I might still work there 1 day a week for awhile, I don't want to give up the great discount! Keli- I am coming to STL for Labor Day, will you be in Springfield then?? Maybe we could meet halfway somewhere?!! | | |
